About the Mural Project

Mission

The Mural Project @ CITYCENTRE is "Bringing Houston Arts to CITYCENTRE" in an exciting display of the city's best Urban & Mural Artists. By creating a cultural trail of beautiful murals, we hope to extend urban art beyond Houston's inner-loop, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit MD Anderson Children's Art Project.

About the Organizers

For over a decade, Muir Fine Art Gallery has been dedicated to "Making Houston the Arts Destination of the South."  An increasingly diverse population and thriving industry have led the city to the brink of critical cultural evolution. With the support of CITYCENTRE and local businesses, Muir Fine Art Gallery is excited to launch The Mural Project @ CITYCENTRE, which seeks to bring CITYCENTRE to the forefront of this cultural art explosion.

About the Project

The Mural Project @ CITYCENTRE is a series of art installations that have repurposed unused advertising spaces and refurnished them with eighteen colorfully designed murals created by talented urban artists.

At CITYCENTRE’s annual July 4th Independence Event, the general public were invited to tour the "cultural trail" of colorful murals and vote on their favorite. Click here to see the winners:  1st Place  |  2nd Place  |  3rd Place  |Honorable Mention | Honorable Mention.

The top three winner's will be awarded an exhibit hosted by Muir Fine Art Gallery from February 1st - 29th.  A portion of the proceeds from the sale of all artwork throughout the month of February will benefit MD Anderson Children's Art Project.
